The original Woodstock was performed in New York from August 15 - August 17, 1969. This music festival attracted over 400,000 people which caused it to run over it's scheduled time by one day. It was held at Max Yasgur's 600-acre dairy farm in the town of Bethel. During the rainy weekend, there was 32 acts that performed and if you were lucky enough to attend, it was something incredible from what I hear.

Woodstock was planned through the efforts of Michael Lang, John Roberts, Joel Rosenman, and Artie Kornfeld while Rosenman and Roberts funded the event. They were all entrepreneurs that lived in New York City at the time and came together and planned this massive event, there was much more attendance than they had planned for so it worked out well for everyone!
